FEViper Factoid

   The Conner Avenue Assembly Plant was built in 1966 and purchased by Chrysler in 1995. Viper production began in May 1992 at the New Mack Assembly Plant and was moved to Conner Avenue in October 1995.

  Final Edition GTS Vipers were built at Connor Avenue in Spring 2002.

     For 3 months in 2002, the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit, Michigan produced 360 unique red and white striped "Final Edition" Dodge Vipers.

     The goal of the Final Edition Viper Registry is to assemble and maintain a complete record of vital statistics for all 360 of the 2002 GTS Final Edition Vipers. All Final Edition Viper Owners and enthusiasts are encouraged to submit information to assist in documenting this unique group of performance cars. January 2012  -  Winter is finally here.  Hope your Viper is snug inside a heated garage (or you live in a warm climate).

 

An Early Christmas Present for the Viper Fans!  December 13, 2011 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Chrysler Group LLC announced today that it will reopen its Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit for the production of the next generation SRT Viper. With the plant’s reopening, nearly 150 jobs, both hourly and salaried, will return to the City of Detroit. The Conner facility was idled when production of the Dodge Viper ended in July 2010. “The next generation Viper will make its return to the product lineup in late 2012 as a 2013 model,” said Ralph Gilles, President and Chief Executive Officer - SRT Brand and Motorsports, Chrysler Group LLC. “We’re extremely excited that our ultimate American sports car will continue to live on and be produced exclusively here in the Motor City.”

FEViper in the Movies!  FE 72 appears in a Movie being Filmed in Branson Mo. Filming will end on Nov 24.  "Awful Nice" should be released in March at a film festival in Texas and featured at Universities across the country as an Independent film.  More info here.

Latest Rumor - "Jay Leno owns Final Edition Viper #1."  Can anyone confirm or deny?

We have a new FE Viper in the United Kingdom - #230 and Canada - #239.  You'll also find FE Viper #261 now in Chile!  FE 236 has moved to Germany (and be sure to visit the Germany Viperclub Web Site).  Final Edition Viper #3 "lives" in Lituania!  Two new FEVipers in France; FE 116 and VIN 102877!  One of our "French" Final Editions has a new owner; FE 132.
